ALTUS was founded to incubate and grow opportunities in the natural resource sector through a 'Company of Companies' strategy. The timing reflects the strong outlook in demand for metals, in particular gold as an asset class, and a paucity of significant new economic discoveries in recent years.
To meet this supply side challenge ALTUS has assembled a team of talented and experienced industry professionals. Together we have the necessary skills and network to access and evaluate numerous opportunities and select those with the highest potential. Once identified ALTUS incubates a new subsidiary and assembles a dedicated, experienced and highly motivated management team to develop each opportunity. In addition to providing significant strategic direction and our operational experience, ALTUS provides its subsidiaries with its in-house technical, corporate and administrative support.
ALTUS has a relatively small and highly supportive shareholder base and intends to remain private until such time that the merits of a public listing become overwhelming. However, the shares of our incubated subsidiaries will be listed from an early stage in order to provide them with market accountability and a platform from which their management teams can independently finance and grow the ventures. ALTUS will consider the most suitable market for each subsidiary, based on its geographical focus, risk profile and capital raisings requirements.
The Company's long term strategy provides its shareholders with direct and indirect exposure to an actively managed and optimised portfolio of selected resource situations from grassroots exploration through to mine development and provides the market with a number of well managed resource opportunities in which to invest.
