ALTUS Strategies Ltd. ("ALTUS" or "the Company"), the integrated natural resource investment company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Bowie to its board, with Malcolm Burne joining as an advisor to the board.

Ed Bowie holds an honours degree in Geology from Oxford University and a Masters degree from the Royal School of Mines at Imperial College London. He was formerly a Vice President at resource investment bank Ambrian Partners with responsibility for a broad range of capital and M&A transactions for junior and major mining companies. Prior to joining Ambrian he worked as an equity research analyst with Salomon Smith Barney and as an exploration geologist with SAMAX Resources before its acquisition by Ashanti Goldfields in 1997. Most recently Mr Bowie worked for the East of England Development Agency with responsibility for providing finance and strategic advice to growing businesses.

Malcolm Burne is a former stockbroker and financial journalist with The Financial Times. He has controlled and managed fund management, venture capital and investment banking companies in London, Australia, Hong Kong and North America. Malcolm has been a director of over 20 companies, many of which have been in the mineral resource and gold exploration sector. In 1997, he founded Golden Prospect plc and was executive chairman until 2007 when the company acquired Ambrian Partners and changed its name to Ambrian Capital plc. In addition, he was executive chairman of the Australian Bullion Company (Pty) Ltd, which at the time was Australia's leading gold dealer, and member of the Sydney Futures Exchange. He is currently a director of several other resources companies in Australia, the UK and Canada.
